So I was asked to design a beholder, of all fun things to design. I gave him a few sketches sample sketches of different variations... And let's say he was pleased with all of them. Then I tried incorporating everything into one nightmarish design. And ta-da.

Tha'ar-Thuresh is a Titanic Beholder and probably a really difficult boss to fight. I'd imagine him to be the stuff of Nightmares.

O___O I wanna kill it SO bad. That means it's a successful monster design!
